SHADOW LINES PROJECT

In 2018, I worked as a data visualization consultant for NYU’s Museum Studies Program. Using GIS and museum data, I designed three interactive prototype maps that locate Native American artifacts for three tribal communities:  Penobscot, Passamaquoddy, and Karuk tribes.

D3

For the first map, I used D3.js to map artifacts of three tribal communities.  The visualization included a map with a tree diagram that provides information about the art collectors

Arc GIS

For the second Shadow Lines prototype, I used ArcGIS--an online mapping tool.  The visualization has three icons on the left hand side indicating the three tribes.

Leaflet

For the third prototype, I used Leaflet to map tribal artifacts and Mapbox for the base maps.
